ABOUT DR. SAYAN
Dr. Sayan founded Dr. Sayan’s Drug Discovery Solutions (DSDDS) in January 2024.
Dr. Sayan, an accomplished drug discovery scientist, established DSDDS in January 2024 after identifying gaps and opportunities in the drug discovery domain.
Dr. Sayan Dutta Gupta has more than 18 years of experience ranging from academia to industry. Before establishing this company, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Gangneung Institute of Natural Products, South Korea (Ranked 13th in Reuter’s World’s Most Innovative Research Institutions) for 4 and half years. He was awarded the prestigious Korea Research Fellowship (KRF), now known as the Brain Pool (BP) fellowship, for outstanding foreign scientists.
He started his career as a Research Associate in the synthesis department of Jubilant Chemsys Limited, India, a global leading contract research organization (CRO) for over two decades. To pursue his research interest and obtain a Ph.D. he joined as Assistant Professor GRCP, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India (Ranked consistently among the top 100 pharmacy colleges of India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education, Government of India since its inception in 2015). He left the college as an Associate Professor before joining the Korea Research Fellowship (KRF) fellowship program for outstanding foreign scientists.
To date, he obtained projects worth 237,000 USD from various funding bodies like All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), South Korea. He has been invited as a speaker in several countries across the world and successfully collaborated with scientists from USA, United Kingdom, Argentina, Poland, South Korea and India.
Dr. Sayan brings strategic insight to the table while spearheading global collaborative drug discovery projects. His unwavering enthusiasm extends to advising an expanding clientele of drug hunters across the globe.
